A clear blue light lens filters a small slice of blue. An orange lens filters most of it. A red lens goes further and cuts almost all blue light and most green light too, which is why everything looks deep red when you wear one. That is the point. It is not a lens for working or driving. It is a lens for the sofa, the book, the phone you said you would put down an hour ago.
Why Clique does red as a clip-on
Most red lens glasses are a dedicated pair you only wear for an hour a day. Clique is one frame with a clear base lens and three magnetic clip-ons: yellow, orange and red. You wear the frame clear through the day, then snap the red lens on when you start winding down. It takes about a second and needs no tools.

When to use the red lens
Use it: in the final hour or so before bed, for TV, reading, scrolling or gaming with the lights low.
Do not use it: for driving, cycling, operating machinery or any work where you need accurate colour. Red lenses distort colour heavily and reduce how much light reaches your eyes.
Red vs orange vs yellow lenses
Yellow is the lightest tint, for late afternoon and early evening screens. Orange (often sold as amber) is the everyday evening lens for the couple of hours before bed. FAQs
Are red light glasses the same as red light therapy glasses?
No. Red light therapy devices emit red light. Red lens glasses emit nothing. They are tinted lenses that filter blue and green light from the screens and bulbs around you.
Can I wear red lens glasses all day?
You could, but you would not want to. They are dark and distort colour. Use the clear lens in the day and save red for the end of the evening.
Do they fit over prescription glasses?
No. Clique Classic is a non-prescription frame and the clip-ons are made for that frame only. They work fine with contact lenses.
